5. Why did you choose your instrument / Pourquoi avez-vous choisi cet instrument ?
I chose the cello because it is the most emotional instrument as well as the instrument most like the voice of a human being.

6. What are your professional goals? / Décrivez quelques-unes de vos ambitions professionnelles.
My professional goals include landing a great job where I would get paid to do something I would do for free such as playing incredible repertoire in an orchestra.

9. How do you feel you will benefit from participation in the NYOC? / Comment pensez-vous que votre participation à lONJC puisse vous aider?
I believe my musical and orchestral understanding will benefit from playing with NYO through the repertoire incredible faculty and wonderful colleagues.

What are your interests outside classical music / Avez-vous d’autres intérêts à part la musique classique ?
I truly enjoy taking philosophy courses at university.

Who is your favourite classical musician? / Quel est votre artiste (classique) préféré ?
I admire Rostropovich as he was an eccentric who was an inspirational and good person as well as a godlike musician.

Who is your favourite non-classical musician? / Quel est votre artiste (non classique) préféré ?
I admire Ray Charles as he had so much fighting against him in life however he still found the will to succeed and did.

If you weren't touring with the NYOC what would you be doing with your summer? / Si vous ne faisiez pas partie de l' ONJC que feriez-vous cet été?
I would be working practicing and taking lessons.

I was born in Riga Latvia.

Our last concert in Toronto playing Mahler 6 was a magical evening.
